The general objective of this project is to explore the use of HEAs as a substitute advanced material for the weight reduction of the EV architecture. As previously presented, the reduction of weight not only has an impact on EV autonomy but also the reduction of overall lifecycle emissions. To achieve this complex objective, this work defines four specific objectives:
- SO1. To explore the micro-mechanical behaviour of mass production suitable HEAs for forming applications.
- SO2. To evaluate the PFEPE as an optimal technique to reduce the characteristic springback of HEA materials.
- SO3. To analyse and preview the upscaling of the material and technology for future industrial applications.
- SO4. To share the generated knowledge, impacting scientifically, societally, and economically/technologically.
